Designers AECOM and Swedish partner AF Consult have been working on the project for client Trafikverket, using the 21km scheme with its 18km of up to 100m deep rock tunnel and three underground interchanges as a BIM pilot. Swepac modular screed SVM 25 in operation at “E4, the Stockholm bypass project” 2018-11-9 . The 14 meter wide lanes are cast in concrete and for this, the Swiss company Implenia has chosen Swepac’s modular screed SVM 25E. A virtual Factory Acceptance Test was held in the headquarters of SEE Telecom on December 15-16, 2020 for the new section of Stockholm Bypass, part of the European highway (E4).

E4 Stockholm Bypass and climate goals. According to climate goals, emissions in Sweden should be reduced by approximately 30 per cent by 2030 in comparison with 1990 levels. The E4 Stockholm Bypass is estimated to account for less than 1 per cent of emissions from road traffic.
